It started in 1978 when my Father opened an upholstery shop. I found myself helping him when I was 13 years old. He did seat repair, convertible tops, vinyl tops, and miscellaneous projects. I had no idea my career was beginning in custom interiors for hot rods. I enjoyed going to the shop and working with him while taking on new challenges. From 1982-84 I took on other challenges, architectural and mechanical drafting, wood working and metal classes. I had dreams of becoming an architect but my love for cars and working with my hands kept me in my father's shop. I spent hundreds of hours building and designing models and loved everything about cars. It was a passion and hobby since I was very young. In 1992, I started designing my own interiors--the challenges kept coming and so did the clients. In 2000, I started my own business in Evansdale, Iowa. I work alone and diligently on every car. My work has won numerous best interior awards and has been in magazines like: NSRA, GoodGuys, Street Rodder, Super Rod, Street Thunder, Street Seen Rod & Custom and Truck in. In 2006, my work was featured in the MSRA street rod of the year and a Sema Invite for a 1934 Ford Delivery for Heartthrob Exhaust. You must call for an appointment. Once I receive deposit, I will guarantee you a spot on the appointment list. Cancellations are non refundable, however; if you're not going to make your date, it's possible someone may be willing to switch appointments. This is better than losing your deposit. Each car will be completed in 8-12 weeks depending on the complexity, and I am generally booked 18-24 months out.
I create custom interiors, not budget jobs. Most of my work, depending on the car and wishes of the owner, can include uniquely customized seats, dashes, consoles, headliners, fiberglass panel work and custom overlays and inlays, not to mention one-off billet parts.
